Young Mums ; Your Say...

Summary

I SAW a programme on TV about young mums and how they are not coping with the credit crunch.

Well, I see young mums with no partners going into town everyday with their pushchairs. There was no mention of pensioners. How do they think they are coping? My father-in-law is living in a bungalow, it is damp in the bathroom and he can't get in the bath because he is 89. In my day I was on my own after 18 years of marriage. I had four children, and could only go to town once every two months because I couldn't afford it. I never got handouts, I never got into debt. Like my gran, my mum and I made all our own clothes. I've still got my mum's sewing machine. What have these mums today? Nothing. Sad!
