Wrong Figure? ; Your Say...

Summary

I SEE that Plymouth Citybus owners Go-Ahead are proposing to drop service 45 to Cattedown.

In my view, privatisation of Citybus by the Tory council has meant the city has lost control of what happens with Citybus. I feel this means that protesters' pleas will fall on deaf ears, even though there would be a severe impact from this cut. However, I wonder whether Citybus has taken account of the East End roadworks in their calculations? Route 45 would normally run to the Radford estate at Prince Rock, but this part of the route was cut off for a year by the replacement of the Elliot Road bridge over Gdynia Way. If Citybus has based the profitability of route 45 on financial takings of the past year, then their figures will be wrong for a prediction of the normal takings.
