MEETING a group of Navy recruits undergoing basic training was among the highlights of a visit to HMS Raleigh by Lady Mary Holborrow, the Lord Lieutenant of Cornwall.

During a day at the Royal Navy base in Torpoint, Lady Mary and some of her deputies were shown how the decommissioned minehunter, HMS Brecon, is used to support training from moorings in the River Lynher.
