SO A fatal accident in Royal Parade has finally happened.
Condolences to the relatives of this lady, but in my view, this was an accident waiting to happen. The closure of the subway was a huge mistake. These lights and crossings have been a pain to people and vehicles from the start. The whole road is now a stop-start nightmare. The subway saved some of that and people found it simpler to use, In view of that, and this terrible loss of life, maybe the council should think twice before making alterations 'for the better'.
