Summary
TWO stalwarts of British folk, Ashley Hutchings and Ken Nicol, will be stopping off at the Watermark in Ivybridge on Saturday, February 19 as part of a national tour to launch their album Copper, Russet and Gold. Although they have an affiliation lasting nearly 20 years, starting in the Ashley Hutchings Dance Band and then as part of the Albion Band, this album is a landmark as it is the pair's first duo offering.
They've also both been part of one of the UK's most popular folk/ rock bands Steeleye Span. Ashley helped form the band about 40 years ago, bringing together duos Maddy Prior and Tim Hart with Gay and Terry Woods to record seminal offering Hark!
