HAVING started life just over a decade ago as a workhorse extension to its Megane line-up, the Sport Tourer (estate) is about to re-invent itself in Renault's stable as a more sporting and stylish creation, writes Chris Adamson.
Renault's artists seem to have taken a leaf out of the Italian design sketchbook in order to inject a fresh, more vibrant attitude to the third generation Sport Tourer - and its doesn't stop there as the packaging is underpinned by a new, more dynamic character. Visual highlights include: the higher rising shoulder-line, bold two- part wrap-around tail lights, strong (if slightly ugly) side sills, minimal glazed area, short rear screen and short front overhang which, in combination, has the effect of making it appear as if the waist has slipped, creating a longer, lower and therefore more athletic stance.See the full content of this document
