What an array of letters you are receiving about speedway, for and against. This is my personal story: my speedway.
For many years my dad and brother went every Monday to Exeter and supported the lads; as a little girl I insisted it wasn't for me, and mum had to stay home with me even though she loved the sport just as much. I reached my teens before I discovered where speedway was going to take me. It was a great family night out; we travelled home and away enjoying all this sport provided. In 1988, having had at least one member of our family at every away meeting that year as well as home matches, juggling half- days' holiday here and there to fit it all in, we were honoured to receive the Supporters of the Year award from the Exeter Speedway Supporters' Club. Our trophy which still takes pride of place at our family home back in Dawlish.See the full content of this document
