AN ORGANISATION representing Plymouth manufacturers has reacted with despair to the Government's decision to press ahead with plans to end compulsory retirement at 65.
Business had called for plans to scrap the Default Retirement Age (DRA) to be delayed, and the South West head of the manufacturers' organisation EEF today said rushing through the measure would create legal problems and uncertainty for firms. Employment relations minister Ed Davey however said abolition of the DRA was "great news for older people, great news for business and great news for the economy".See the full content of this document
