Summary
On Friday night Plymouth Coasters (formerly DML Running Club) held their Christmas social and presentation night. One of the presentations was the handing over of the profits and donations from our 'Santa Pud Run' held at Saltram House the week before by our chairman, Nigel Rowe who presented a cheque for pounds2,576.02 to David Garland of the Dairy Garland Charity. The charity was set up to raises money for children's ketogenic dietitian's who can prescribe special high-fat meals that prompt the body to produce a seizure-inhibiting substance called a ketone when fat is burned for fuel.
The club is a friendly local running/walking club, based at the Welcome Hall, Fore Street Devonport, which meets on Thursday nights at 6.30pm The club caters for all ages and abilities, from 16 to 60 and walkers to marathon runners. Each year the club nominates a charity for the year and all the proceeds from our Santa Pud Run plus any money raised during the year is passed to that charity.See the full content of this document
