St Columba and Torpoint...13 DHSOB...10 SAINTS won promotion - if not the Devon Two title - with a gritty win over city rivals DHSOB. The victory secures them only the second promotion success in their history.

They were given a run for their money at Defiance Field by the Old Boys, who weren't so far away from mounting a title chase themselves. DHSOB director of rugby Mike Freeman was the first to congratulate his St Columba counterpart Chris Goodman after the match, but he admitted: "I feel a bit gutted, because I thought we deserved at least a draw. Right at the end, we were all over them, but we couldn't get the ball over the line.
