MENTION the waste incinerator at the Dockyard's North Yard and a lot of people assume it is just a problem for St Budeaux.

While it is true that St Budeaux will bear the brunt of the noise and disruption from heavy lorry traffic, the output from the chimney will go much further. The wind direction across the incinerator site blows mostly North East or East. Follow that line from St Budeaux and you will see that Derriford, Southway, Estover and everywhere in between are all downwind of that chimney.
