REF. the report in The Herald on April 6 in respect of the possible 'demise' of the South West Regional Development Agency under a new government, and the fact that it had to deal with a Pounds 56million cut in funding for local regeneration during the past two years, in my opinion the RDA, a non-elected EU quango, has been let down by the Labour government, although Business Secretary Peter Mandelson put the RDA at the centre of the economic recovery.
He was arguing that the RDA had played an indispensable role during the recession and was good value for money.See the full content of this document
