A MINIMUM price for alcohol should be set to curb "drunkenness and mayhem on the streets", the Chief Constable of Devon and Cornwall Police has said.

Stephen Otter said cheap booze was a factor in "driving violent crime" as well as offences such as antisocial behaviour, sexual assaults and domestic abuse.
