Plymstock a Cap Season with Convincing Victory ; Cricket

Summary

THE West Devon Youth Under-15 League season is complete and in spite of bad weather 81 per cent of matches were able to take place. In the final round of games, Plymstock's A and B sides both secured victories, although the margins were significantly different. Plymstock A saw off Yelverton by 10 wickets after restricting the opposition to a meagre 53 for five. Despite tidy bowling from Ackford and Lopes, Plymstock knocked off the runs without loss, with opener Adam Stevenson hitting 44 not out. Plymstock B overcame Tideford Hawks in a tighter finish, winning by 10 runs.

Bad light reduced both innings to 16 overs and, batting first, Plymstock made 74 for six with Charles O'Higgins making an impressive 25.
