APPROPRIATE to a luncheon club are matters culinary and on Tuesday, June 15, this was the topic of the day but on a grand scale when Colin Alderson came from Yorkshire to talk about life in the Palace kitchens. After completing his three months' trial, under the eagle eye of Ronald Cubery (Royal Chef for 45 years), he became Royal Pastry Chef a job, and indeed a way of life, determined by the palace calendar. Marie Heathershaw gave the vote of thanks.
The club's summer season now continues with the Summer Outing on Tuesday, July 20, to Kingsley Village and Truro, on Tuesday, August 17, a Cream Tea at Browns Hotel, Tavistock.See the full content of this document
