IVYBRIDGE junior tennis player Sian Payne came through a marathon match against East Scotland's Millie Stretton on the opening day of the AEGON British Junior National Championships. Payne eventually won 7-6, 4-6, 6-2 in the first round of the 14 and under age group tournament. Payne made her way through to the main draw after winning her way through the qualifying rounds.

The first two sets against Stretton were extremely tight, but Payne managed to build a significant lead in the final set which was enough to wrap up the match in just under three hours.
