PLYMOUTH College elite swimmer, Christian Homer, has set a new 15- 17 age category national record for Trinidad and Tobago in the 50- metre backstroke. The youngster (left) set the mark at the Internationales High Point Meeting in Zurich, Switzerland. Swimming for Plymouth Leander, Homer clocked 26.82 seconds and claimed a silver medal in the race. He also took silver in the 50-metre butterfly, 100-metre butterfly and 4x100 medley relay, but went one step further in the 4x100 freestyle relay where his team picked up a gold medal.
Homer, who is a boarder at Plymouth College and is part of the school's highly-acclaimed swimming programme partnership with Plymouth Leander, is no stranger to representing his country.See the full content of this document
