DEVON ONE SOUTH AND WEST Plymouth Barbarians...38 Plymouth Argaum...0 STRENGTHENED Barbarians fielded four recruits from West Counties West outfit Devonport Services and simply swept aside one of the most improved teams in the division at Bull Point.
New winger Mo Andrews marked his Barbs' debut with two tries, while returnees James Hannaford and Dave Clarke either kicked or ran over for a mess of points between them. Steve Hammond, who also decided to return to Bull Point after a spell at Services, found himself in a side which breached the much-vaunted Argaum defence with a try in just the first minute through Jamie Harper. Harper finished the game off with his second try on virtually the final whistle after a plucky Argaum outfit, admittedly under-strength, tried in vain to halt the division's fourth-placed side.See the full content of this document
