Summary
ON HOLIDAY in Tenerife, each morning we would say 'Hello' to two German ladies. One evening after dinner we decided to play cards, so we invited them to play with us. We couldn't understand them and they couldn't understand us. We taught them two games and enjoyed their company.
Before our goodbyes, I said: "I am going to learn your language." When I returned home I had a tutor to teach me German -- I'm still learning. I decided to call one of the friends we met, and spoke to her in German.See the full content of this document
