MARVELLOUS! MP Linda Gilroy MP is asked to repay Pounds 2,510 in parliamentary expenses, reduced from Pounds 4,353, because she appealed, even though the errors were made by herself.
But I, and hundreds of others, have to pay back supposedly overpaid tax credits, when we did nothing wrong. In my view, the appeal system is a joke. I have no problem paying back money wrongly overpaid, but that is the problem: to my mind the whole tax credits system is a farce. I feel it is impossible to calculate what you are entitled to.
