Summary
Re. police pay, what is the point of taking a pay dispute to arbitration if one of the parties concerned, refuses to abide by the decision? What if the Board of Arbitration had found in favour of the Home Office? would the police not have been expected to abide by that decision? Surely what is good enough for the goose (the Home Office on this occasion) is good enough for the gander.
