In the Running for Paralympics

Summary

PARALYMPIANS of the future have been showing off their sporting talents during an event in the city.

More than 100 youngsters, aged 10 to 16, took part in the Identifying Ability day which aims to encourage children with disabilities to take part in sport and help those with particular talents to excel in their chosen field. "It was a very successful day and we have recommended 40 children to go forward to the next step and towards the 2012 and 2016 Paralympic Games," said Martin Lees, community sport manager at Plymouth City Council, which organised the event.
