Regarding the article 'Sunk without trace' (June 27), I understand how Martin Read feels at the overwhelming lack of interest in Plymouth's maritime heritage.
This city has repeatedly let go massive opportunities to present itself as a leader of British history, and the issue should be addressed. Since the obliteration of fabulous buildings caused by the bombs of World War Two, the deliberate demolition by socialist councils of great houses such as Radford Manor and Widey Court was, in my mind, almost like a war crime itself.See the full content of this document
