Summary
RECENTLY I had the privilege of visiting the dockyard museum which is home to many figureheads and is full of naval history. I was escorted around the museum by a knowledgeable gentleman - one of many unpaid volunteers who give up their time to show visitors around. I was told by this gentleman that there were no major tours planned for the rest of 2009, or in fact in the near future.
If true, this is a travesty, and to think that my generation and future generations will not have the opportunity to observe and learn about our naval history.See the full content of this document
