Summary
THE decision by Sport England to rethink its stance and provide Plymouth's Life Centre with a Pounds 2million cash grant is a boost for the project on several levels. In monetary terms, the award will provide the city council with vital funds towards the Pounds 46.5million cost of the scheme: but it is the decision of such an influential body, combined with the comments of its chairman, Richard Lewis, which will perhaps prove most significant.
