With five-figure attendances becoming more of a rarity at Home Park, it is hard to believe that on a December afternoon in 1961, a crowd of 12,907 attended a reserves match! Even so, the average reserve team attendance for the season before the Football Combination fixture against Tottenham Hotspur was just over 2,500.
