Summary
IN REPLY to M P Morgan, That's enough, if he truly has had enough of the matters and beliefs of the Christian faith, then why write a letter which will add fuel to this debate? His question was the very common one: "If there is a God, then why does He allow so much suffering?" The answer is simple. Recently on TV many important people from different religions were asked the same question and none of them came out with what I believe is the answer. I heard the answer from a catholic priest, Fr Corapi, on radio. The answers is: "God allows bad things to happen so that a greater good can come of it". Look at the Haiti disaster. The wonderful English nation has shown it has the potential to be a really good (and holy) country by raising millions of pounds for aid. Jesus Christ said to the disciple Peter (who was the first Pope): "On you, Peter, I build my Church and the gates of hell will never prevail over it".
