The inconsolable families of two young girls who died in a horror crash have told of their outrage that the killer has had his sentence cut.

Ricky Herbert - who caused the deaths of Roxanne Trim, aged 17, and 13-year-old Jade Brennand, on January 5 this year - was given an indefinite life sentence and ordered to serve a minimum nine years behind bars. But yesterday, judges at London's Court of Appeal quashed Herbert's potential life sentence and replaced it with eight years - which could see him back on the streets in four.
