A PROJECT for a 999 'supercentre' to handle fire calls in Plymouth was a "comprehensive failure" that wasted at least Pounds 469 million, a financial watchdog has found.
A damning report by the National Audit Office listed a catalogue of failures in the handling of the regional fire control scheme under Labour, which saw forecast total costs rocket to more than five times the original estimate of Pounds 120 million.See the full content of this document
