Summary
I really must protest at Keith Rossiter's column in which he believes we should build the so-called Life Centre regardless of what the costs may be. I feel is utterly irresponsible when so many more important matters are screaming out for funding, such as those poor souls with cancer who are going to die simply because their local PCT cannot afford to buy the drugs, or the OAPs who are having to decide whether they keep warm or feed themselves.
We have turned away HMS Plymouth, our roads are full of pot- holes and we could extend our runway at the airport which would help to bring wealth into this city or, better still, build cheap houses for the youngsters to help them get a foothold on the ladder. They are the real things in life that matter most. How many jobs is pounds44million going to provide? I will tell you: just a few part- time or self- employed, low-wage, service industry jobs, and very little else.See the full content of this document
