RIVAL captains Tom Sharp and Bob Dawson will have to cobble something up between them to salvage something from the wreckage of the rain-ruined game between Cornwall and Devon at Truro.

Nearly two hours were lost on the first day to rain - and yesterday's action was limited to around 50 minutes in late afternoon. Three deadlines came and went before play finally got under way at 5pm. By six the rain had returned, the covers were on and umpires Mike Izzard and Martin Brown decided enough was enough.
