WORLD CUP: Jamie Carragher believes England should focus on qualifying for the next phase of the World Cup rather than worrying about trying to avoid a last-16 clash with in-form Germany.
The Liverpool defender was impressed with the way Germany overcame Australia 4-0 in their opening game and was particularly struck by midfielder Mesut Ozil and striker Miroslav Klose. The two old rivals would meet in the next phase should Germany win Group D and England finish runners-up in Group C - or vice-versa. But Carragher is more concerned about Fabio Capello's side beating Algeria on Friday than any possible permutations in the future.
