Summary
THERE was an item in The Herald on September 29 regarding a statement from Lord Mandelson, an un-elected minister controlling an un-elected quango, namely the Regional Development Agencies. He stated what a vital role the agency had to play in our region's recovery from the economic downturn; ducking the fact SWRDA had made a cutback of Pounds 56million. He went on to mention that at Labour's request, as a top priority, they should focus on jobs and growth and that conditions for economic strength and industrial growth should also be put in place. In my view, we have heard it all before.
How come we are losing local jobs and our industrial capacity to countries in Eastern Europe etc. Let's keep our vast contribution to the EU coffers and build up our own country. It needs it.See the full content of this document
