SNOOKER: The big fixture in week eight of the Belgrave Super League saw third placed Belgrave A and leaders Belgrave B clash in a battle of the first and third placed teams. With so much on the line for both teams, play got bogged down and became a tactical battle.

And without a break of note in the match the B team prevailed 4- 1. Second placed Victoria also picked up a 4-1 win over Belgrave D to stay firmly in contention at the top, with commanding frame wins from Belgrave's Grant Cole and Neil Chiswell.
