Ban On Military Selling Stories

Summary


A blanket ban is to be imposed on serving military personnel selling their stories to the press.

The move to make an interim ban permanent was confirmed by Defence Secretary Des Browne as he told MPs at Westminster he accepted in full the recommendations of two reports into the events surrounding the capture of 15 Plymouth-based sailors and marines by Iranian forces in March.
