WOMEN'S FOOTBALL: Plymouth Argyle Ladies are out of the FA Women's Cup following a 3-2 second round defeat at Havant and Waterlooville. It was the Pilgrims' first match following the Christmas break. Unfortunately the team appeared to be still on their holidays as they allowed their Combination League opponents to boss Sunday's first half and take a two goal lead into the break.
At 1-0 down, Argyle had a great chance to level when Tash Knapman crossed into the box to an unmarked Becky Rose, but her shot from eight yards went straight at the goalkeeper. Things improved in the second half and Argyle pulled a goal back when leading scorer Knapman headed home a pinpoint Natalie Volpini cross from the left.See the full content of this document
