RODBENDERS SAC shore ace Rob Wheaton added another fine specimen to his bulging log book when he fished a night session from a mark in the Yealm estuary. The conger weighed a superb 41lb 9oz and is the heaviest of the year locally in the shore category. Paul Burnett, who normally has a fixation with mullet, went conger fishing and came up with a personal best eel of 25lb.
Despite a substantial entry of 109, who came from all parts of the South West, only five eels were caught during the annual Brixham Breakwater Conger Hunt staged by Torbay Angling.See the full content of this document
