Summary
WHEN I read the article entitled 'New fees for DIY rubbish' on Friday, March 18, I thought that the powers that be were being serious, until I saw the implementation date, April 1. Obviously the county council are trying to steal a march with their attempt at an April Fool gag.
They can't be serious, can they? Did they not learn a lesson the last time higher charges were introduced for the collection of bulky waste - fly-tipping incidents increased, which probably cost more money to clean up than they could ever have collected.See the full content of this document
