Summary
I FELT the police officer (April 11) who rejected concerns expressed by a reader about inappropriate use of police time seemed to have missed the point, and resorted to the "overstretched thin blue line" argument.
The facts were that a motor cyclist was flung from his machine after thugs stretched a wire across a road. His helmet was ripped off, he could have easily been killed and the photographs in The Herald showed the horrible injuries he sustained to his neck.
