A MAN has been arrested in connection with the alleged assault of another man at a Plympton industrial estate. The alleged victim, aged 47, told police he was jumped from behind by two men at around 3.30am on Friday at the Bell Park industrial estate in Bell Close off Newnham Road in Plympton.

Heroin Addict Conned Boy, 5, to Steal

A HEROIN addict conned a boy of five to get into a neighbour's flat and steal cash, electrical items and bank cards, a court heard. Prosecutor Alistair Verheijen told Plymouth Crown Court that Peter Phillips knocked on the door on February 23 this year and asked the youngster if he could have a glass of water.

Ramblers Will Examine Marine Specimens

WILDLIFE enthusiasts will be able to learn more about the creatures living on pontoons with a rambling event being held in the city this month. The Plymouth branch of the Marine Conservation Society is holding the walk on April 17 when they will also be collecting specimens, including plankton, to examine.

A MAN who took diesel from a digger could be sent to jail for breaching a suspended prison sentence. Anthony Scott, aged 35, stole about 15 litres of the fuel from a building site, Plymouth magistrates were told.
