Landlady Who Beat Cancer has Raised Pounds 800
A PUB landlady who beat cancer has raised nearly Pounds 800 for Cancer Research UK in just 12 hours. Tracey Trevaskus, landlady of the Albemarle on Whitleigh Green, has now donated Pounds 790 to Cancer Research UK to help the charity continue its life-saving work.

SEVERE travel restrictions put in place following a terror alert in 2006 did not damage Plymouth airport, say bosses. Following the convictions of three terrorists over a plot to use "liquid bombs" on airlines, new security measures were brought in at airports across the UK.
Concert at Methodist Central Hall
A MUSIC concert described as a mixture of Songs of Praise and Last Night Of the Proms will visit Plymouth. All Souls Orchestra from the church of All Souls in Langham Place, London, under St Neots-born conductor Noel Tredinnick, will visit Plymouth's Methodist Central Hall on November 6.
THERE has been a major breakthrough in the campaign to oppose people keeping monkeys and other primates as pets. Last month, the International Primatological Society released a policy statement formally opposing the private keeping of these animals.
FOUR youngsters from Plymouth are among the lucky prizewinners of a competition organised by Devon and Cornwall Constabulary.
